Version 0.5.15 - Release Notes
Added API caching, improved the Cube Generator flow, and shipped key drafting UX fixes.

In today’s update, version 0.5.15, I’ve focused on implementing a new cache mechanism for improved performance, improving the MTG Cube Generator, as well as a few other small quality-of-life improvements.
⚡ New cache mechanism
So far, CubeForge wasn’t caching requests to remote APIs, meaning we had to wait for responses every single time. This was particularly painful when adding cards to a cube, where the same searches could be triggered multiple times.
With this update, subsequent searches are now cached and will appear instantly, making cube editing noticeably smoother.
🧪 Improved Cube Generator tool
The CubeForge Cube Generator has been improved with the addition of a small FAQ section answering common questions about generating Magic: The Gathering cubes, as well as fixing a bug that prevented certain sets from generating properly.
It is now also possible to directly click the “Create a cube from this list” button to import a generated list as a new cube—no more need to manually copy and paste.
✨ Quality-of-life improvements
- The “views” button on the cube list page is now a different color, making it easier to notice. It’s one of the most important features of the page, and it was previously too easy to miss.
- Continued work on the Japanese and French versions, slowly catching up with English.
- Fixed an issue where clicking on a card while doing a multi-selection would clear the selection (thanks to @antonly for reporting it).
If you’re building or experimenting with a cube, the generator is meant to be a fast starting point that you can iterate on over time.
