Version 0.6.2 - Release Notes

Draft timer support, bot replacement fix when players join, cleaner setup-to-lobby settings flow, and setup loading UX fixes.

CubeForge draft setup and lobby improvements in version 0.6.2

In version 0.6.2, I focused on draft flow reliability and setup UX clarity.

⏱️ Draft timer is now supported

Drafts now support a configurable per-step timer.

You can enable or disable it from the lobby and adjust the duration, so timing can match casual or competitive sessions.

🤖 Fixed player invite flow that could exceed seat count

I fixed an issue where inviting a human player did not always replace an existing bot correctly.

In some cases this created too many players in the draft, which could break session flow. Joining now correctly swaps a bot seat when expected.

🧭 Draft settings are clearer between setup and lobby

I moved key runtime settings out of setup step 3 and into the draft lobby:

  • End-of-draft settings
  • Draft timer settings

This makes setup lighter and keeps live session controls where hosts naturally manage the table.

⚡ Fixed setup loading behavior around step 1

I fixed a UX issue where setup could appear to "reload" with a loader after cube selection.

Validation now runs in the background with clearer in-context feedback, so navigation feels smoother and less disruptive.

🏷️ Better default draft names

Default draft names are now generated as:

{Cube Name} - Draft - {date}

This makes new drafts easier to scan and recognize in the lobby and draft history.
