Version 0.8.3 - Release Notes
CubeForge 0.8.3 protects unsaved changes across editors, prevents background updates from overwriting your work, and adds notifications for Roadmap activity.

Version 0.8.3 is about keeping track of things that are easy to lose: changes you have not saved yet, and conversations around the bug reports and feature requests you care about.
The starting point was a report about the Archetypes page. After leaving it open for a while, a background update could refill the form from the saved cube and quietly replace work that was still in progress. Fixing that one case exposed several other editors that deserved the same protection.
🛟 Unsaved changes are protected across CubeForge
CubeForge now detects unfinished changes across the main editing workflows and asks before leaving them behind.
That protection covers archetypes, Jumpstart decks, custom Draft Formats, cube settings and saved views, custom cards, analytics layouts, account settings, Roadmap forms, media submissions, cube imports, and draft setup.
Navigation inside CubeForge uses a new in-app confirmation dialog. Refreshing or closing the browser tab still uses the browser's own warning, as browsers do not allow websites to replace that safety prompt.
🔄 Background updates no longer replace work in progress
Forms that follow live cube data now keep their local edits while they are dirty. A background refresh can still bring in saved changes when the form is untouched, but it will not reset fields that you are actively editing.
After a successful save, the form adopts the saved version as its new baseline. This keeps editors responsive to updates without making an unfinished draft disappear.
🔔 Notifications for Roadmap activity
When the status of your bug report or feature request changes, CubeForge now sends you a notification with the old and new status.
You are also notified when someone comments on your ticket or replies to one of your comments. Each notification links back to the relevant Roadmap ticket, and CubeForge avoids notifying you about your own actions.
✨ Clearer confirmation dialogs
Destructive actions now share the same CubeForge confirmation dialog instead of mixing app dialogs with the browser's basic confirm window. This includes common actions such as deleting cards, comments, draft settings, archetypes, and other editable content.
👤 Username changes
I also fixed an issue that could prevent users from changing their username.
If you find a bug or a card that looks wrong, please report it here or let me know in the CubeForge Discord.
