Version 0.8.4 - Release Notes
CubeForge 0.8.4 adds undo and redo to cube lists, brings emoji autocomplete to community writing, and makes online drafts smoother and safer.
Version 0.8.4 makes everyday actions feel safer: cube-list edits can be undone, and online draft picks are checked against the pack you actually saw.
The headline addition is local undo and redo history for cube lists. This release also brings emoji autocomplete to more of the writing around CubeForge and adds several improvements to the online draft and recap experience.
âŠī¸ Undo and redo cube list changes
The cube editor now keeps a local history of your card changes.
Press Ctrl+Z on Windows or Linux, or Cmd+Z on macOS, to undo the latest change. Use Ctrl+Shift+Z, Ctrl+Y, or Cmd+Shift+Z to redo it.
This covers adding and removing cards, moving cards between the cube and Considering, switching printings or finishes, editing card details, and bulk updates. Shortcuts inside text fields still use the browser's normal text-editing history.
Undoing an action also removes its corresponding Activity entry. If you add a card and then undo it, the cube history will not show a misleading add followed by a remove. The edit history stays local to the current cube-editing session and is cleared when you leave or reload the editor.
Card selection is more deliberate on touch layouts too. Selection checkboxes stay hidden until you choose Select, instead of taking up space beside every card as soon as the browser reports touch support.
đ Find emojis by typing their name
Type a colon followed by an emoji name, such as :sweat, to open a searchable list of suggestions. You can choose one with the pointer or use the arrow keys and Enter without leaving the keyboard.
Emoji autocomplete is available when creating, editing, commenting on, or replying to Roadmap tickets. It also works in White Papers and cube blog posts, in both Markdown and Visual mode.
đ´ Smoother and safer online drafts
Online drafts now wait for the next confirmed pack before making cards interactive again. This prevents an outgoing pack from briefly appearing as though it were still available while the draft is moving forward.
The Draft Engine also checks that a submitted pick matches the pack and cards shown to the player. If the browser and server have fallen out of sync, CubeForge rejects the outdated pick, explains what happened, and offers a refresh instead of silently accepting the wrong action.
đ Better card previews in draft recaps
Card hover previews are now available in the Your Card Pool section of a completed draft and in the decklist dialog for every player in the pod.
The completed-draft loading state has also been rebuilt to match the recap layout more closely, so the page feels steadier while its cards and results are loading.
đ¨ More accurate archetype suggestions
Automatic archetype suggestions now respect the colors assigned to each archetype. A white card will no longer be suggested for a Dimir archetype simply because their Oracle tags overlap.
If you find a bug or a card that looks wrong, please report it here or let me know in the CubeForge Discord.
