Hello fellow Cube peoples, this Cube is my try at building the strongest limited environment with a very limited budget, while not implementing game-breaking S-tier rares. To get a nicer draft with better mana I try it now with expensive duals as proxies. There are no hard limits for card prices or anything but most of these cards are cheaper than 1€.

I want to achieve a general focus on the major archetypes of Magic (aggro, midrange and control). As far as I can say all three macro archetypes are playable and can win even though in my playgroup there is a heavy focus on a midrange focussed playstyle because we are all booster-limited fanatics. I didn't implement combo as a specific playstyle because as far as I know nobody in my group is that high on this playstyle.

I try to implement 3 mostly monocolored aggro decks in {W}, {B} and {R}. All of those colors can splash some colors even though I think that better fast-fixing lands would be very helpfull for this. The {B} deck will be probably the hardest to draft, because the color is liked in all macro archetypes.

Midrange is mostly focussed on {G} based decks and there are sacrifice decks in {b/r} and {w/b} which tend to be also more on the midrange side of things.

Control is definitely {U} based and is very much able to be played with 2-3 colors (mostly non-{G}).

To freshen up the Draft experience while not disturbing less experienced players too much there are a few buildarounds, that can in itself shift the deck building to focus on different synergies. To give a few examples: If you draft Emry, Lurker of the Loch or Teshar, Ancestors Apostle the value of artifacts will rise. In case you draft domain decks you could value basic land fixing like Cultivate or Rampant Growth more highly. Or if you draft Gyruda, Doom of Depths or Obosh, the Preypiercer early your curve will develop completely different. This is at least want I want to achieve and why I am okay with paying for some of those cards a bit more. Also some of the more expensive cards where drawn during some booster-limited drafts and I liked them enough for the Cube, that I didn't want to sell those.

To make it easier for me to update this Cube I made a wishlist Cube that I update between mass orders (https://cubecobra.com/cube/overview/wish-the-best).
