Aether Revolt is the second set of the Kaladesh block, released as AER. The set expands Kaladesh’s artifact-heavy gameplay while introducing revolt and improvise as major mechanics. Energy, Vehicles, fabricate, and +1/+1 counter themes remain important, creating a draft environment built around synergy and resource management. Historically, Aether Revolt was drafted with two Aether Revolt packs and one Kaladesh pack, producing a faster and more interactive format than triple Kaladesh. Successful decks typically balance artifact density with efficient creatures and removal, while revolt rewards careful sequencing and trading. The result is a Limited environment where synergy matters, but aggressive starts and efficient curve management remain critical.
