Khans of Tarkir (KTK) is the first set of the Tarkir block, released in 2014. The Limited format is built around five three-color clans, each with its own mechanic and strategic identity. Morph provides flexibility throughout the draft and rewards careful gameplay, while abundant mana fixing enables ambitious three-, four-, and even five-color decks. Unlike many modern formats that focus on two-color archetypes, KTK encourages players to navigate complex mana bases and remain flexible during the draft. Games often involve board development, value generation, and long-term planning, with morph creatures creating difficult combat decisions and hidden information.
