Planar Chaos is the second set of Time Spiral block and explores an alternate-reality version of Magic’s color pie. Historically, it entered draft as the third pack of Time Spiral / Time Spiral / Planar Chaos, so a standalone Planar Chaos set cube is a concentrated version of cards meant to modify triple-Time Spiral decks. The set includes many color-shifted cards, plus mechanics such as suspend, flash, split second, madness, echo, shadow, morph, storm, and slivers. It also introduces vanishing and rescue creatures. Drafting Planar Chaos rewards strong fundamentals: removal, curve, evasion, and combat tricks matter, but the unusual color shifts mean players must re-evaluate what each color can do instead of relying on normal expectations.
