Draft Dark Ascension on CubeForge
Draft Dark Ascension's graveyard-focused Limited format featuring Undying, Flashback, tribal synergies, and aggressive creature decks.
Draft Dark Ascension
Dark Ascension (DKA) is the second set of the original Innistrad block, released in 2012. Its primary Limited format was DKA–INN–INN draft, with one pack of Dark Ascension followed by two packs of Innistrad. The set reinforces Innistrad's graveyard themes while introducing Undying and Fateful Hour. Creature combat remains important, but Dark Ascension adds stronger tribal payoffs, improved removal, and new incentives for aggressive strategies. Flashback continues to be a major source of value, while self-mill decks remain among the format's defining archetypes. Because only a single Dark Ascension pack is opened in a normal draft, many archetypes rely heavily on Innistrad cards, with Dark Ascension providing key upgrades and support pieces rather than entirely new strategies.
