Magic: The Gathering Foundations (FDN) is a 2024 Standard-legal set built around recognizable Magic gameplay, mixing new cards with reprints and returning mechanics such as flashback, threshold, prowess, and raid. Its draft environment supports all ten two-color pairs with clear signpost uncommons, but the synergies are intentionally softer than in many modern sets, so card quality and a good mana curve remain important. Games can develop into board stalls, but missing early plays is dangerous, and limited fixing makes disciplined two-color decks the default.
