Draft Saviors of Kamigawa

Saviors of Kamigawa (SOK) is the 165-card third set of the original Kamigawa block, released in June 2005. Its main new theme, nicknamed Wisdom, rewards having a large hand, while Channel turns Spirit cards into spell-like effects from your hand and Sweep returns lands to your hand for scalable effects. Epic appears on a rare cycle of spells that repeat every upkeep but prevent you from casting further spells. Historically, Saviors was drafted as the final pack of Champions of Kamigawa / Betrayers of Kamigawa / Saviors of Kamigawa, so its Limited environment still relies heavily on Spirits, Soulshift, Arcane, Ninjas, and the foundations established by the first two sets. This predates modern ten-pair archetype design: contemporary writers stressed that almost any two colors could form a deck, with only a handful of especially recognizable strategies.
